The Hockey Institute's (THI)
programs are structured to meet the special needs of all hockey players, from House League to the professional, THI trains them all.

Programs emphasize both mental and physical development and the complete integration of individual performance in line, shift and team play. Small intense sessions ensure that individuals receive maximum benefit and time from certified instructional staff. This has become an integral quality of THI and will continue as we skate into the future.

THI was founded by former professional player Brett Callighen. His ten-year professional hockey career included six years with the Edmonton Oilers, where he was a line-mate of Wayne Gretzky for three and a half years. An additional two years in the European Elite League further developed his knowledge and understanding of the sport of hockey. Brett has become one of the most respected instructors and ambassadors to the game and is well known throughout the hockey world.

The Hockey Institute has assembled a very accomplished staff with current President, Shane Bowler leading the way. As a player, Shane went to The University of Alabama in Huntsville, which is a Division 1 program, on full-scholarship.During his four years at U.A.H., Shane set several N.C.A.A. school records while leading the nation in scoring and being named an All-American in 1994. Shane then went on to play several seasons of pro hockey in Germany, the C.H.L. and the S.P.H.L. As a coach, Shane was an assistant at The University of Alabama in Huntsville during the 2000-01season. He has moved back to Toronto where he coached in the G.T.H.L. for a couple seasons and was the last Head Coach of The Wexford Raiders Jr. A Hockey Club. In the past few seasons Shane has been a guest in Sweden teaching and training elite prospects from all over Scandinavia. Most recently, Shane has coached the Junior Boys Hockey Team at Cardinal Newman High School to their first TDCAA Championship in school history. Shane has assembled a staff that represents all levels of elite hockey so they are prepared to educate young players on the necessary skills and discipline to achieve desired goals . His staff includes past and current players from the N.H.L., A.H.L., E.C.H.L., C.H.L., N.C.A.A.( both men and women), Women's Professional- N.W.H.L., and Canadian Universities ( both men and women).

We are presently the fastest growing and most reputable full-time hockey school in the country.

As part of our commitment to the proper instruction of hockey, we very pleased to bring our programs to Canada and the United States. We know you will not be disappointed.
